The paper jams occasionally and there are sometimes faded black or white lines that creates poor print quality. What steps should be checked?
The shutters on the Platen may not be adjusted correctly.
The C3500 uses a vacuum method to stabilize and help flatten the
paper as it moves thru the printer; this vacuum is regulated by opening or
closing the shutters on the Platen and must be adjusted according to your
media width. When the shutters on the platen on either sides of the paper
are set in the “open” position (beyond the paper’s edge), air current may cause
reduced print quality and paper jamming because not enough vacuum pressure
is being applied. Follow the instructions on the label that is affixed to the top of
the printer and set the shutters to match the width of the paper being used.
